LifeRelease has been birthed from passion in observing the life people live by default and knowing there is a life they can live by design. My name is Data Sophia Arthur-Uchendu. Please call me Sophia. I’m a qualified and experienced psychotherapist, passionate about helping individuals and couples find healing, clarity, and personal transformation. With a foundation in psychotherapeutic counselling and a Master’s in Psychological Sciences (in progress), I offer a warm, professional, and grounded therapeutic space where your story matters.

My approach is pluralistic—drawing from a range of evidence-based therapies—and deeply rooted in Christian values such as compassion, integrity, and hope. While my faith guides my worldview, my practice is open, respectful, and welcoming to people of all backgrounds and beliefs. Whether you hold strong faith convictions or none at all, you’ll find a safe and non-judgmental space here.

Psychotherapy offers more than just a listening ear—it brings perspective, healing, and often a renewed sense of purpose. Many of my clients have experienced profound change: reclaiming self-worth, learning to manage anxiety and stress, healing from past wounds, and building healthier relationships. They often describe the process as life-affirming, eye-opening, and empowering—something they wish they had done sooner.

I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and I am accredited with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy society, NCPS (formally NCS). I hold a professional indemnity insurance.

Let’s provide the safe space you need to talk and have someone sensitively listen through with an unconditional positive regard and empathy. My counselling practice is highly trauma informed and I combine this with a healthy dose of psychoeducation. I am licensed in the UK with years of professional work experience. I have worked with people who have experienced various kinds of trauma, who are dealing with post traumatic stress, have PTSD, have or are dealing with abuse, have relationship issues (regardless of the type of relationship).
